After the colonization of several star systems, wars/conflicts were bound to happen. And with armored conflict, comes the need to know. To know the location of where your enemy is, and his strengths in numbers. In the Tu-Nore system, several conflicts, both domestic and out system, called for the Alintec Corporation to be  contracted by the Tu-Nore System Military Authority to design and build a 4 wheeled reconnaissance vehicle capable of utilizing existing weapon systems available on the open weapons market. These vehicles were for distribution in-system and for export. Making a 4 wheeled vehicle, meant that maintanance and actual production was less expensive. Once the basic vehicle design was complete, the Alintec Corporation CEO designated the new vehicle the Ealit Light Recon Car. 
The Ealit is a small local mammal with an extremely nasty disposition.

The Ealit was fitted with an armored cupola that mounted a large caliber machine gun and a smaller caliber coax. The vehicle chassis was also fitted with the Autocannon turret system found on the Thomisan Armored Industries Badger MK II U/A tracked recon vehicle, and the Thor Tactical Missile Systems also found on the Thomisan Armored Industries Badger MK III. The Ealit LRC was first used in combat with the Tu-Nore 2nd Armored Bde, during the invasion of SD-145, when forces from the Boltic System attempted to invade the second habital planet in the Tu-Nore system. The rugged terrain proved to be no problem for the 4 wheel drive scout car. The success of the Ealit, spread to other systems and large quantities were sold to various star systems for both line combat duties and boarder patrol.
