| The Thomisan Armored Industries responsible for the design and production of the Badger MK I, was once again called on to develop a heavier version of the Badger. The Badger MK II mounts a heavy 25mm low recoil autocannon. The gunner sits in an armored tub, with the ammunition being stored in an armored ring around the tub. The gunner operates the autocannon through a Direct Fire and Locate Ballistic computer. The armored ammo ring has two access panels. One on the right side of the gun, for loading the rounds. And a second one on the left, to clear any jams. There is an extra ammo container mounted directly behind the driver, in an armored recess. The Badger MK II quickly rolled off the factory floor and straight onto the battlefield. These vehicles went right to the 409th Cavalry Squadron, attached to the 81st Armored Brigade. |
